Smart Metering Grid (SMG) Water is a unique system for comprehensive water meter reading management that combines Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, local wireless readings and physical readings into one unit. Thanks to modern hardware and software, it digitizes all processes associated with water meter readings, their installation and verification of metering points. SMG is a modern system developed for complete management of water meter readings and related processes. It combines its own hardware for remote readings with data integration from systems of leading IoT hardware manufacturers such as Sensus, Itron or Kamstrup. It automatically transfers the obtained data to the Customer Information System (ZIS) for immediate billing. Thanks to advanced planning, it significantly streamlines walk-in and drive-by readings. Digitization of water meter installation and reading equipment significantly reduces the error rate and simplifies the correct recording of meters. The system easily adapts to your needs and ensures clear management of all processes associated with water meter readings.
We offer modern IoT reading devices compatible with Sensus and Itron water meters. It uses modern NB-IoT and LoRa communication networks, while the battery life is designed so that the reading head can be replaced at the same time as the water meter. Get a perfect overview of water consumption throughout the network thanks to a remote reading system with adjustable alarms. Minimize the risks associated with physical readings in dangerous shafts and respond in time to network failures.
Forget about working with multiple systems and complicated data merging from different sources. SMG integrates everything into one clear system, and thanks to advanced integration with the ZIS system, your data is always up-to-date and ready for billing.
Say goodbye to paper documents and reduce errors by digitizing all processes. Modern mobile applications ensure standardized procedures, photo documentation and automatic data transfer without the need for manual retyping.
Automating routine tasks and integrating data into a single system significantly saves your employees time. They can then focus on higher value-added activities, while the system ensures flawless data collection and processing in compliance with GDPR.
Remote IoT readings are the most modern way to obtain data on water consumption. Instead of traditional physical visits to the meter, it is enough to install smart IoT reading heads at the consumption points, which automatically send current statuses up to 20 times a day to the central system. Their service life is designed for 6 years and, in addition to regular readings, they can also report alarm conditions, such as freezing or flooding of the water meter, in real time.
Our reading heads use modern NB-IoT, Sigfox and LoRaWAN communication networks. Their installation is simple thanks to a user-friendly mobile application and they start transmitting data automatically immediately after installation. SMG Server offers full integration for a wide range of devices - from our IoT.water reading heads for Sensus/Itron water meters to Solidus Tech NB-IoT/LoRa heads to Softlink devices and Diehl Hydrus smart water meters. In addition, it allows connection to external reading systems such as Softlink CEM, Sensus FlexNet or Diehl Metering IZAR PLUS via standardized REST API interfaces.
As a central point for all remote readings, the SMG Server processes data into a uniform form and presents it in clear tables and graphs. Thanks to GPS localization during installation, it also offers a map view of all reading points. Full integration with the ZIS customer system ensures automatic data transfer for immediate billing. Water companies thus gain a comprehensive tool for effective reading management that saves time, minimizes errors and provides accurate data in real time, regardless of the reading technologies they use.
Effective management of walk-by and manual readings is key for every water company. The Reading Routes module in SMG Server brings a modern solution for consumption points that use walk-by readings or do not have any remote reading system. In conjunction with the SMG Mobile mobile application and the ZIS system, it creates a comprehensive tool for planning and implementing reading routes.
A field reader only needs a regular mobile phone with our SMG Mobile application, which allows for convenient processing of assigned reading batches. The application supports radio data transmission from water meters from leading manufacturers such as Sensus, Itron and Kamstrup. For other meters, it offers the option of physical reading with manual entry or the use of OCR technology for automatic recognition of the status from the dial.
However, the system does not end with the readings themselves. Workers can record important events directly in the field, such as changes in contact details or obstacles preventing reading. In addition, everything can be documented with photos, which are immediately available in the system. Thanks to the SMG Client web interface, surveyors have a constant overview of the work progress, can monitor the progress of individual routes and check the synchronization of data with the ZIS system. This solution significantly streamlines the entire survey process and minimizes the risk of errors during data transmission.
Modern water companies are looking for ways to provide their customers with added value in the form of access to water consumption data. The B2B module represents a secure and professional solution for sharing this valuable information with third-party customer systems.
The core of the module is a modern REST API interface, which was designed with an emphasis on maximum security. Thanks to its special location in the network architecture, it creates a safe zone between the water company's internal systems and the outside world. This solution effectively protects the water company's sensitive data from potential cyber attacks, while providing authorized customers with easy access to their data.
Access management is carried out via a clear web interface, where an individual account with precisely defined rights can be created for each customer. Administrators can easily determine which devices and data will be accessible to individual customers, which ensures complete control over the shared information. This flexible system allows water companies to create new business opportunities and increase the quality of services for their customers while maintaining the highest security standards.
The Electronic Installation List (EML) represents a revolutionary step in the digitalization of installation processes of water companies. It replaces the outdated system of paper installation lists with a modern digital solution that dramatically simplifies the work of installers and eliminates the risk of errors when rewriting data.
The EML mobile application brings installers to the field a clear list of their daily tasks, which is automatically synchronized with the Customer Information System (ZIS). During work, the installer is intuitively guided by the application through the individual steps of the process - from taking photo documentation to checking the original water meter to installing a new device. Thanks to integration with warehouse management and the use of QR codes or OCR technology, the tedious manual filling in of device data is eliminated.
The whole process culminates with the customer's electronic signature directly in the application and immediate printing of the confirmation using a portable Bluetooth printer. All data is immediately synchronized with the central system, which eliminates the need to rewrite paper documents in the evening and significantly reduces the error rate. This allows installers to fully concentrate on their professional work, while the administration runs automatically in the background. EML is therefore a key tool for modernizing and streamlining the work of water companies.
The Electronic Investigation Record (EZzP) is a modern solution for digitizing the investigation process in water companies. This mobile application replaces traditional paper documentation and provides investigators with a comprehensive tool for effectively solving various types of tasks - from checking suspicions of black tapping to assessing applications for water meter refills.
After logging into the application, the investigator has immediate access to a clear list of tasks that are automatically synchronized with the Customer Information System (ZIS). Each task contains not only a detailed description of the assignment, but also auxiliary files such as map data from GIS or relevant customer contracts. The worker can verify and update data in the system directly in the field, take photo documentation and use a specialized drawing tool to record important notes or symbols related to the water supply network.
EZZP significantly simplifies the entire investigation process thanks to the immediate synchronization of all captured data, photos and conclusions back to the central system. This not only eliminates the need for manual data rewriting, but also ensures accurate and up-to-date records of all findings. In addition, the system automatically generates follow-up tasks based on the results of the investigation, thereby supporting effective process continuity in the water company. EZZP is therefore an effective tool for modernizing and streamlining investigation activities.
